She has exhibited at the Bulgarian institutes in Warsaw and Bratislava, at the Slovak Cultural Institutes in Prague and Budapest, at the salons of the Society of Independent Artists and at the biennials of independent fine art. It is only natural that her work has drawn the attention of gallerists at home and abroad alike.
The most important aspect of a painting is not the rendering of form, whether representational or abstract. What matters is the content, the emotion, and the inner force at work in the interpreted piece.
Her painting makes present the strong emotional experiences and inspirations she draws from nature, from music, and from the moments that pass between a man and a woman. She sets them down in manifold planes, layering, varying and overlapping them. They stand for the contrast in meaning between what a person senses and what a person feels. Bold tones laid down by a spirited hand interweave with an expressive line and with shifting modulations of space.
At many presentations at home and abroad she has captivated audiences with her dynamic hand and her dramatically interpreted motifs. Her brushstrokes seem to rise from the surface of a painting that opens before us, only to vanish into a tangle of bright, contrasting shades. Often she veils them mysteriously or paints gently over them, as though reconsidering whether to show us the chosen motif at all. Her visions and dreams, too, she leaves spellbound in richly laid colours and lines that fill an almost cosmic pictorial space.
She has taken part in several major international projects in Ankara, Nowy Sącz and Békéscsaba, as well as in private galleries in Linz, Moscow, Kyiv and, naturally, her native Sofia. Her most recent work can be seen by audiences in Dubai, Qatar and Kuwait. Since 2011 she has chaired the Society of Independent Artists at the Slovak Union of Visual Arts in Bratislava.
